Gun Lake Tribal Citizen Employment
Gun Lake Tribal Government desires to employ its citizens where and when possible. Employment is a government function that is vitally important to maintaining the integrity of the tribe as a self-governing sovereign nation. The creation of the Gun Lake Tribal Citizen labor pool will enable Human Resources to create a Tribal Citizen skills bank, which will assist in matching positions (temporary, seasonal, or permanent) with citizens that have the desired skill sets to fill the vacancy.
Completing this application does not guarantee that you will be selected or hired, however, it will assist your Tribal Government in assessing the talent that exists within the citizenry and assist Human Resources in recruiting efforts.
As a Tribal Government, there are laws that apply to placement within an Indian organization. There are positions that are governed by federal statues with respect to applicant backgrounds and work history and govern the Tribe's use of your personal information. There will be no background check conducted on anyone that completes the labor pool application, unless there is a bona fide offer of employment and signed application/release by the applicant.
We do intend to create a database that maintains education/knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment history so that we can easily search for citizens that may fit an opportunity, but Human Resources will not share your personal information unless you are a candidate for employment.
Kchii-Miigwech for completing the labor pool application and assisting your Tribal Government in planning for the future of the organization.
