Job DescriptionThe primary purpose of this position is to compile, research, review, evaluate, and process non-standard collection activities related to enforcement (lien/levy) and vendor offsets for the Financial and Administrative Unit (FAU) of the Collection Services Bureau (CSB). Furthermore, this position assists other programs within the unit with non-standard collection activities and account reconciliation. This position functions independently while handling difficult and complex functions for FAU, responding verbally and in writing to telephone and written inquiries from third party contractor(s), attorneys, other state agencies, and/or taxpayers.
This position participates in development of internal processes and procedures for the unit and acts as the liaison between the unit and the CSB legal unit.
Education and Experience
Education typically acquired through completion of high school
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.
OR
One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.
OR
One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
OR
Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
AlternateEducation and Experience
Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Interviews may occur virtually using Microsoft Teams. No prior experience with Teams is necessary, as instructions and tips will be provided to all candidates scheduled for an interview. Fingerprinting is required for this position. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) software of any kind is prohibited in all areas of the selection process. The "Salary" listed is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (7) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E9) level.
