Scheurer Health, a Critical Access rural hospital, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our team in Pigeon, MI.
Responsibilities- Monitoring reimbursement
- Analyze and report reimbursement trends
- Accurately records insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials into HER
- Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to properly apply contractual adjustments, deductible, and co-insurance
- Identify, document, and route partially paid claims or denials for further review
- Coordinate with Billing Specialists, AR Teams, and Patients regarding payment discrepancies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of medical billing or revenue cycle experience
- Familiarity with payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, PPO)
