Schedule:

Three (3) shifts per calendar month | Regularly covering weekend shifts is expected | Two (2) holidays per year.

Chelsea, MI

Compensation: $46.18 - $51.74 / hour

The Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency impairments as part of in-house rehab services in SNF, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living.

• Perform hearing and/or speech and language examinations.
• Evaluate hearing and/or speech and language test results.
• Evaluate barium swallow, other test results, and overall medical background.
• Diagnose patients and formulate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and family members about various communication methods to cope with impairment.
• Write reports and maintain client information.
• Perform administrative responsibilities: coordinate paperwork, write lesson plans, schedule case management activities, and maintain records for administrative, billing and caseload purposes.
• Develop individual and/or group activities and/or programs.
• Participate in planning and implementing IEP meetings, in-service meetings, or intervention assistance team meetings.

• Graduate of an accredited Therapy program.
• Current Speech Therapist state license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Position requires the ability to lift and move objects, weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
