Location: Bingham Farms

Clinical Career Alert! Common Ground is looking for a Master level licensed clinician to be a Mobile Crisis Clinician on the Oakland Collaborative Crisis Response (OCCR) team. This position will work from the Bingham Farms location to serve Oakland County.

As a member of the OCCR team, a crisis response team engaged in mobile crisis response, the Mobile Crisis Clinician partners with Crisis Support Specialists. Together, they respond in person to crisis calls in Oakland County that cannot be resolved through the Crisis Hub via phone. This position utilizes best practices in crisis intervention, behavioral health, and postvention crisis services, offering up to 30 days of in‑home crisis counseling.

  • Full‑Time, 36 hours per week:
    Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, 8a - 8p.
Compensation
  • Limited Master‑Level License: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differential.
  • Full Master‑Level License: $34.00 - $39.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive agency or personal vehicle to respond to crisis calls.
  • Maintain reliable personal vehicle for shifts and community travel.
  • Respond swiftly to crisis calls using GPS to navigate the community.
  • Conduct curbside safety assessments to identify risks of self‑harm or harm to others.
  • Arrange or provide transportation when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all crisis interventions.
  • Submit all documents that are complete, accurate, and signed prior to the end of shift.
  • Apply Crisis Theory to provide short‑term interventions for immediate stabilization.
  • Deliver active crisis intervention that is welcoming, trauma‑informed, brief, and solution‑focused.
  • Collaborate with families and support systems to develop safety plans and coping strategies.
  • Educate and assist significant others and family members with petitioning processes as needed.
  • Conduct mobile assessments of crisis situations and needs.
  • Collaborate with local agencies, hospitals, law enforcement, and community resources for referrals and follow‑up care.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of every person/family and service provider.
  • Comply with federal, state, county, and agency regulations governing Intensive Crisis Stabilization.
  • Provide first aid and emergency procedures as needed.
Qualifications Education
  • Master’s degree in the Human Service field.
Licensure
  • Active, unrestricted Michigan clinical license (LLMSW, LCSW/LMSW, LLPC, LPC, MLP) required.
  • All Limited License Master Social Workers and related licenses must obtain permanent license within 5 years of the original limited/temporary license to continue employment.
Experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year working with people with mental health, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities, including children, adolescents, and families.
  • Experience in crisis intervention or emergency mental health services.
  • Experience with a broad range of age groups and disabilities, including children.
  • Experience with persons with co‑occurring mental illness and substance use disorder.
  • Mobile crisis response experience strongly preferred.
Certifications
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license with clean driving record for insurability.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as defined by Michigan.
  • Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) as defined by Michigan.
  • Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) as defined by Michigan.
