Clinical Dietitian

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full-time inpatient ICU/Critical Care position at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY. Flushing Hospital is a 300-bed teaching hospital established in 1884, providing essential medical care to the Queens community as part of the Medisys Health Network.

• Provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on critical care units.
• Work rotating weekends and holidays providing whole hospital coverage.
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees and departmental tasks, including meal rounds and audits, as assigned.
• Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process.
• Efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.

• Registered Dietitian credential and 2+ years of experience.
• CNSC and/or critical care experience preferred (candidates with a strong desire to learn will be considered).
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
• Strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care.

• Minimum Education Requirement:
  Master’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24, Bachelor’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the ACEND.
• Credentials Requirement:
  Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities, RD/RDN credentials are required at the time of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities, state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
