Physical Therapist - Travel

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others? Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Tawas City, MI where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Michigan Physical Therapist license as stated by LARA. This must be current and verifiable.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Demonstrated outpatient physical therapy experience required. Acute care experience preferred as secondary.
• PT experience documented on work history and skills checklist, current to within one year, required.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years, required.
• Candidates must reside outside the facility’s 50‑mile radius per client restriction. Local candidates within that radius will not be considered.

• Experience delegating and supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and aides in an outpatient setting.
• Experience developing and documenting goal‑specific treatment plans and coordinating care with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.

Shift hours: 8:00 am–5:30 pm Monday–Thursday, and 8:00 am–12:00 pm Friday. 40 hour workweek guarantee. No weekend requirement. Primarily outpatient setting with acute care as secondary.

• Delegate responsibility to Physical Therapist Assistants and aides.
• Evaluate patient function.
• Develop goal‑specific treatment regimens.
• Submit written plans of care.
• Schedule frequency and duration of treatments.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding condition, prognosis, and treatment rationale.
• Follow physical therapy standards, physician orders, and facility policies.
