Medication Technician (Med Tech)
Douglas, MI | The Orchards at Douglas Cove Village

• Day and Night shifts

As an Assisted Living Medication Technician at The Orchards at Douglas Cove, you’ll support resident health and well-being by:

• Administering medications and assisting with treatments according to provider orders
• Supervising residents who self-administer medications while following all company and regulatory guidelines
• Observing residents and reporting any changes in physical condition or behavior
• Maintaining accurate resident records related to medication distribution, activities, incidents, and observations
• Providing calm, compassionate support in a respectful, resident-centered environment
• Providing help and care for activities of daily living (i.e. showering/bathing, dressing, toileting, cueing, etc based on an individual's needs)

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of related experience and/or training (or equivalent education/experience)
• The Orchards at Douglas Cove Village utilizes the Michigan Center for Assisted Living Medication Administration program for education and re-educating new employees
• Previous experience working with older adults preferred
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• A genuine enjoyment of working with the senior population
