We are seeking a skilled and compassionate weekend CT / Radiologic Technologist to support our imaging team. As a rapidly growing independent hospital offering a wide range of specialties, this is a Full Time position which would be covering every other weekend.

The Radiographer/CT Technologist takes images of various portions of the body to assist physicians in detection of pathology and diagnosis of diseases and injuries based upon the age of the patient served. Positions patient under Radiographic equipment and regulates controls to exposure. Uses Computerized Radiography and Digital Radiography to produce Images for interpretation.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a high school graduate. Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school and able to meet the requirement for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
- If not currently trained in CT will be required to be trained for this position.
- On the job orientation is necessary to become familiar with hospital policies and procedures.
- Verbal ability is necessary to read and understand medical and technical materials and instructions: to communicate with medical, technical and clerical personnel as well as hospital administrators and patients.
- Numerical ability is necessary to detect errors in written material and statistical data and when writing and proof reading records and reports.
- Spatial perception is necessary to visualize relationships of internal organs in relation to radiographic tube and receptor in order to obtain radiographs of diagnostic value.
- Form perception is necessary to perceive detail in Radiographic Images to determine acceptability of exposure.
- Manual dexterity is necessary to adjust machine controls and arrange, attach and adjust supportive devices.
- Will have technical knowledge of all aspects of the department in regard to services, programs and evaluations of such programs. He/she maintains radiologic services in accordance with standards established by the hospital and with the state, local and federal standards which apply. Is co-responsible for the technical aspect of radiologic safety in the hospital, recommending programming, monitoring and location of warning or identifying devices in carrying out recommendations of the radiation safety officer.
- Operates Radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body based upon the age of the patient served.
- Assists Radiologist with difficult radiologic procedures.
- Transports or assists in transporting patient to and from the X-Ray department.
- Maintains Radiographer equipment, keeps clean and functioning.
- Evaluates accuracy and technical quality of Images.
- Willing to perform ultrasound procedures with adequate training.
- Prepares reports, documents, statistical surveys, quality assurance and other data required.
