Setting: Assisted Living and Independent Living Communities
Locations:
- Canton, Novi, Farmington Hills (Split Position)
Compensation: Per-Visit $36–$40 (based on years of experience)
Scheduling: Monday-Friday Full-Time/Part-Time (Weekends available but not required)
About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care that improves mobility, strength, and independence for residents.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and according to the established plan of care.
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and mobility interventions to help residents achieve functional goals.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Accurately complete documentation and treatment notes using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Educate residents and caregivers on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safety strategies.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient‑centered care.
- Maintain a full caseload while providing compassionate, high‑quality therapy services.
- Current State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
- Previous experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing is preferred but not required.
