Supervisor

Clinical Supervisor

Summary

This position provides intensive therapy and case management assistance/support to individuals/families in need of services provided by MI Services/SED Services. It may include case management, on‑call, intakes, crisis management, and individual and/or group therapy. The role also supports other county agencies and may involve travel to individuals’ homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family and group therapy, developing materials and facilitating rotations as needed.
  • Manage outpatient caseloads for children and adults according to agency needs.
  • Link, monitor and coordinate with community agencies to facilitate housing, medical appointments, employment and other basic needs.
  • Participate in evidence‑based practices (TF‑CBT, ACT/IDDT/FPE, etc.).
  • Complete intake assessments, make referrals, and collect medical, psychological, and social histories.
  • Initiate and coordinate professional assessments and share data with agencies, courts and caretakers.
  • Maintain compliance with agency standards for documentation, billing and reimbursement.
  • Develop and periodically review person‑centered plans of service, ensuring preferences are reflected and coordinated across settings.
  • Act as primary advocate and liaison for assigned individuals and families.
  • Provide consultation, referral and in‑services to staff, caretakers, families and other agencies.
  • Assist with placement planning and complete necessary documentation.
  • Conduct community outreach to reduce hospital recidivism and prevent crisis situations.
  • Participate in after‑hours on‑call and crisis intervention during the workday.
  • Carry out CCBHC clinical duties as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Duties by Setting

Children’s Outpatient Services

  • Administer ADOS‑2 assessments for the ABA benefit program.
  • Provide services based on the Children’s Mobile Crisis Team model to divert inpatient hospitalization for children under 21 years.

Children’s Home‑Based Services

  • Deliver services based on the Children’s Mobile Crisis Team model.
  • Provide family and individual therapy.
  • Coordinate services (school, probation, DHHS).
  • Deliver family psychoeducation.
  • Participate in BTC committee as needed.

ACT (Therapist)

  • Serve as clinical lead for consults.
  • Provide family and individual therapy.

Residential Services

  • Train and supervise staff working in homes.
  • Monitor AFC home incident reports and medication compliance.
  • Attend AFC home staff meetings; serve as backup clinical consultant.
  • Develop behavioral plans and assessments.
  • Coordinate residential treatment plans and conduct monthly visits.
  • Review residential progress notes for specialized placements.

Adult Outpatient Services

  • Complete OBRA assessments and coordinate as directed.
  • Create and implement behavior plans.
  • Participate in BTC committee as needed.

Intensive Outpatient Services

  • Coordinate transition from ACT to intensive outpatient services.
  • Provide higher‑intensity services across settings to prevent hospitalization.
  • Coordinate transition back to traditional outpatient services.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary approach with psychiatrist, care manager, peer support specialist, etc.

SUD/Integrated Health Services

  • Facilitate IDDT evidence‑based practice.
  • Coordinate with Medication Assisted Treatment programs.
  • Link clients to SUD self‑help groups and inpatient SUD treatment.
  • Coordinate integrated care with PCPs for comorbid health conditions.
  • Educate clients about the 12‑step program.
  • Facilitate co‑occurring SUD/MH groups.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Human Services from an accredited school and licensure as a LMSW; LLMSW preferred.

    Required:

    TLLP, LLP, LP, LPC or LLPC; LMSW preferred for Adult Outpatient Services.
  • Qualify as QMHP, QMRP or CMHP as appropriate for the population served.
