Contract Activity Therapist Position

Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan is a beautiful and state of the art 72-bed facility. Cedar Creek provides evidence-based treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues. Cedar Creek Hospital invests in our patients by offering an integrated medicine approach that provides the latest therapies including yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy and nutrition. As part of our success and innovation in the field we are seeking qualified applicants for a Contract Activity Therapist position.

The Activity/Recreation Therapist is responsible to assess, educate and develop recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills. The Recreation Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing unit activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Qualifications

• CTRS Certification by National Certification Board (NCTRC) required or other Master's Level Creative Arts Therapist (Pet, Yoga, Dance and Movement, Art, Music, Drama, etc) with appropriate board certification
• Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting preferred
