MOBILE CRISIS CLINICIAN
- POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Mobile Crisis Clinician is responsible for providing timely and effective trauma-informed prevention, intervention, postvention, and stabilization services for individuals of all ages experiencing mental health crises, as part of a larger, dynamic access and crisis team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Provide telehealth and on-site interventions (1 hour from initial call) for individuals or families in crisis in Cass Co. Michigan.

Completion of psychosocial assessments to determine service eligibility/level of care assignment in the field when clinically indicated.

Provide outreach and communication with community members and stakeholders in multiple settings, such as education, law enforcement, first response, etc.

Provide diagnostic impression and person-centered recommendation to families, ongoing providers, administrators, and staff when needed.

Coordinating with access team for individuals requiring placement and inpatient pre-screens.

Oversees provision of warm transfers to other providers for individuals found ineligible for WBHN services.

Coordinates person centered planning functions (pre-planning, safety/crisis plans and advance directives) as needed and clinically indicated.

Assures completion of demographic and financial information to establish CMH eligibility, including referral/tracking of ineligible individuals served in a timely manner.

Coordinates care with other external organizations as necessary- MDHHS, courts, law enforcement, social security, transportation, community resources, medical providers, etc.

Provides or arranges for mobile crisis postvention services when clinically indicated.

Coordinates care with primary care physician and Qualified Health Plans when needed.

Attends and participates in a variety of in-service training to maintain and improve job skills, including all agency-required in-service training. Attends (on time) and participates in designated staff meetings and clinical (treatment) meetings.

Attends a minimum of 24 hours of in-service training (annually during calendar year) related to provision of services to children (CDTC certification requirement for all staff who work with children), which will include training regarding co-occurring disorders.

Maintains licensure/registration as appropriate to profession and job requirements (Mental Health and Substance Abuse certifications)
Actively participates in scheduled supervision sessions with immediate supervisor, utilizing feedback for professional development.

Maintain a minimum of 80% overall satisfaction as measured by designated consumer satisfaction rating scales (during designated measurement periods).Adheres to all policies and procedures of MDHHS, SWMBH, CMH, CARF, Medicaid and other regulating bodies as designated.

Maintains strict confidentiality and advocates for the rights of clientele served.

Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND WORK SCHEDULE This is a full-time, salaried position with additional benefits. The wage is level H or E on the Woodlands Behavioral Healthcare Wage and Salary Scale depending on licensure level. Minimum hours are 40 per week. Work is completed on varying shifts;
Monday through Friday 6am – 2pm, Monday through Friday 2pm – 10pm;
Monday through Friday/Saturday 10pm – 6am, Saturday 6am through Monday 6am.

ENVIRONMENT & SAFETYMINIMUM

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.

Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach with hands and arms, to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel.

Ability to frequently walk and move around facilities/homes to include the ability to safely walk up and down stairs and/or walk around obstructions.

Ability to occasionally stoop and/or kneel

Ability to travel offsite for various meetings, activities, and events.

ABILITY TO USE COMPUTER, TELEPHONE, COPY MACHINE AND OTHER OFFICE EQUIPMENT.WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a hybrid position with most work being completed at home or in the community.

Work pace is rapid, and concentration required is intermittent with an average amount of detail often causing pressure or the feeling of pressure.
