Intern: Mental Health Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling sessions under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
• Collaborate with our team to develop personalized treatment plans for clients.
• Document client interactions and progress in our electronic health record system.
• Engage in regular supervision to reflect on your practice and enhance your skills.
• Participate in team meetings and training opportunities to expand your knowledge and professional network.
• Work with clients to address a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
• Uphold ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality in all interactions.
• Follow expectations set by the host school for internship requirements and responsibilities.

• Enrollment in a Master’s program in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• A desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others through compassionate care.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with a team.
• The ability to manage your time effectively and balance internship responsibilities with coursework.
• A commitment to learning and growing as a professional in the mental health field.
