Admitting Representative

University of Michigan Health -  - Responsibilities:
Welcome and correctly register patients for outpatient procedures, admissions, pre-admissions, same day surgeries, observations, lab drop-offs, and assist physician offices as necessary;
Direct patients and visitors to the correct locations;
Collect patient demographics and MSP information for Medicare patients and verify patient identity;
Gather all necessary insurance information including copies of insurance cards and assess co-pays/deductibles;
Answer telephone, transfer calls appropriately, and return messages as needed
