Role Description

The Healthcare Specialist is a full-time, on-site position based in Lake Odessa, MI. In this role, the Healthcare Specialist will provide direct patient care in coordination with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, following established clinical protocols and safety standards. Daily responsibilities may include assessing patient needs, administering basic treatments or interventions within scope of practice, monitoring patient status, and accurately documenting observations and care in medical records.

The role also involves communicating clearly with patients, families, and colleagues to support education and care planning, as well as participating in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives. The Healthcare Specialist is expected to collaborate with staff and leadership to maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications
  • Clinical care and emergency response skills, including EMT experience and a solid foundation in medicine.
  • Strong communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Background in healthcare settings, with familiarity with patient care procedures, safety protocols, and healthcare regulations.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development to maintain current clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Relevant certification or licensure (such as EMT, medical assistant, or other applicable credential) and current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to work on-site in Lake Odessa, MI, including flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a patient-centered approach to care.
