Occupational Therapist Position
We're hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist for a full-time role in West Branch, MI at an outpatient facility. Your skills will support patients on their journey to healing and independence.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or higher from an accredited program.
- Active Michigan occupational therapist license required to start the position.
- NBCOT certification required.
- OTR credential required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification highly preferred and must be obtained within one month of hire or transfer if not already held.
- More than 1 year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates will be considered.
- Ability to perform duties in outpatient and acute care settings.
- Ability to complete required affiliate orientation, new hire competency, and annual OSHA training per exposure control plan.
- Ability to work where exposure to communicable diseases may occur and use personal protective equipment correctly.
- Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient for effective verbal and written interaction in English.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate problem solving, organization, time management, and initiative.
- Ability to supervise OT assistants, aides, and students per regulatory standards.
- Physical abilities consistent with a medium physical demand level, including lifting and frequent walking/standing.

Outpatient with acute area involvement. - Shift: Days. Schedule example:
Sunday 8:00–12:00 and Monday–Thursday 8:00–17:30, or Tuesday–Friday 8:00–17:30 and Saturday 8:00–12:00. Weekend coverage required. - Employment type:
Direct hire. - Duration:
Full-time, ongoing position. - Clinical focus:
Evaluation, treatment planning, intervention, documentation, education, and case management. - Supervisory responsibilities for OT Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students where applicable.
- Evaluate patient function using formal and informal measures across physical, cognitive, developmental, social, and neurological domains.
- Develop and document goal-specific treatment plans and update plans of care as status changes.
- Provide and demonstrate treatment interventions; educate patients, families, and caregivers.
- Recommend and coordinate adaptive/supportive equipment and assist with ordering and securing equipment.
- Complete daily documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, promote process improvement, and assist with program development.
- Demonstrate competency with Microsoft Windows and facility technology systems.
