Resident Care Med Tech
Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Resident Care Med Tech. We're looking for individuals with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.

Hours:
Casual. Days.
Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in working with older adults desired. Must have a genuine desire to assist older adults with dementia.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
Responsibilities:
- Provides resident care, monitoring, and assessing medical condition of residents and reporting changes to resident care manager.
- Develop and maintain an open relationship with residents of the community through regular interaction, encouragement and support.
- Serves meals, snacks, and beverages to residents and provides assistance in eating to those who need it.
- Performs housekeeping duties within the community.
- Assists residents in organized activities.
- Assist in maintaining resident records through regular documentation.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to residents' comfort and privacy.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents.
- Maintain knowledge of the needs of the elderly with dementia as well as the concepts of appropriate lifting and transferring techniques, infection control, disease prevention and emergency preparedness.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for residents and their families.
- Administer and document medications per the 6 rights of medication administration and AFC regulations, monitor for potential side effects of medication, maintain a clean and well-organized medication cart, dispose of medications, and maintain accurate medication count.
- Immediately report any change in resident's condition to the Resident Care Manager/Director.
- Monitor vital signs as needed.
- Complete documentation required for resident incidents, errors or accidents and reports to the Resident Care Manager/Director.
- Take call off phone calls and assist in finding coverage if needed.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Ensure company standards are upheld by all staff.
- Comply with each resident's care plans and physician orders.
