This job changes lives. At Wolverine Human Services, our therapists help youth and families navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful progress. As a Therapist, you will provide clinical services that support healing, growth, and successful outcomes for youth in our programs. This role combines clinical expertise with relationship-building and collaboration. You'll work directly with youth, families, program staff, and community partners to ensure each client receives quality therapeutic care.

This Role Includes:

  • Providing individual, group, and family therapy services
  • Conducting clinical assessments and developing therapeutic interventions
  • Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches tailored to client needs
  • Supporting treatment planning and implementation
  • Collaborating with residential and program staff to support client success
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Reviewing client safety plans, incident reports, and treatment-related information
  • Ensuring services are trauma-informed and client-centered
  • Coordinating with courts, community providers, and other stakeholders as needed
  • Maintaining compliance with licensing, accreditation, and agency standards
Qualifications

What You Need to Apply –

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or another Human Behavioral Science field from an accredited institution Current Michigan licensure consistent with state licensing and contractual requirements Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy services Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles Understanding of family dynamics and family reintegration strategies Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contribute to an inclusive workplace Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage documentation deadlines Physical ability to perform essential job functions Additional Requirements (Within First 90 Days):
Valid Michigan Driver's License and ability to obtain a Chauffeur's License if required Completion of all agency and licensing-required training Demonstrated proficiency with Wolverine Human Services technology platforms and applications What Success Looks Like:
Delivering high-quality therapeutic services that support positive client outcomes Maintaining compliance with licensing, accreditation, and agency requirements Acting as a mandated reporter under Michigan Child Protection Law Consistently utilizing trauma-informed and client-centered interventions Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records Collaborating effectively with staff, families, and community partners Participating in required trainings and meetings Supporting a safe, therapeutic environment for youth and families Upholding confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries You won't just have a job.
