Unit Coordinator

Department: Atrium East – Med/Surg - Our Atrium East unit at our Chelsea hospital cares for Medical‑Surgical patients. Patient diagnoses can vary from medical such as: COPD, Sepsis, withdrawal, GI bleeds, CHF or Surgical: bariatric, Mastectomy, colorectal surgeries, hernias. This unit has 24 beds and specializes in complex high acuity medical and surgical patients with length of stay from 3-5 days.

The Unit Coordinator/Secretary is responsible for a variety of activities involving clerical support, obtaining requested medical records by the medical team, and providing support to patients and staff in the unit

Evenings – 3pm-11:30pm

Full time, benefit eligible (72 hours per pay period – every two weeks)

Weekend and holiday rotation required

• Minimum of high school education
• Recent unit secretary experience preferred
• Medical terminology preferred
