3rd Shift Role
10:00 p.m.
- 6:30 a.m.
$25.50/hour + 10% Shift Differential
Third-shift role responsible for operating and troubleshooting LC-MS/MS instruments to support daily schedule. Performs technical laboratory activities in support of client studies or procedures. Performs analysis of data for quality and completeness and determines if results are as expected. Records data in compliance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. Executes scientific testing strategies and studies.
May participate in development as part of team. May lead assay research, assay validation or study conduct, or is involved in preparation of material (e.g. protein, nucleic acid, cells, etc.). Reviews and interprets study data, communicates results to clients and writes final reports. Ensures compliance with protocols and all applicable SOPs. Troubleshoots and resolves assay or technical issues in the laboratory when scientific expertise is needed.
Contributes to specific dataset interpretation, or when appropriate answering questions from regulatory authorities. For singular focus of Chemistry or Biology disciplines, refer to specified role on job architecture.
Efficiently perform and document all procedures, materials and results in compliance with applicable regulatory standards as applicable (protocols, methods, SOPs, etc.)
Effectively demonstrates the behaviors and performance characteristics as described in the CRL DNA
Demonstrates effective communication skills through both informal and formal discussions with peers, supervisor, and team
Assist with and accurately perform laboratory maintenance functions
Independently and accurately perform laboratory support functions such as labeling, monitoring expiration dates, and solution preparations
Independently and accurately maintain study specific inventory of consumables
Independently and accurately write both study and non-study deviations
Actively participate in process improvement initiatives with minimal oversight
Develop and maintain critical thinking, troubleshooting and time management skills aligned with needs of the operational area
Independently and effectively execute routine sample analysis studies
Independently and accurately executes method validation projects as required by operational area
Independently operate laboratory instruments as required by operational area
Independently and accurately perform data analysis in appropriate software for at least one analytical platform, while performing analysis for additional platforms within an operational area with oversight
Effectively assist in the completion of laboratory investigations, assay troubleshooting and quality observations with oversight
Independently and accurately prepare paperwork for routine production work as required by operational area
Effectively assist project lead for sample analysis and validation studies as required by operational area, with oversight as needed
Effectively assist in training of new staff members for minimal functions as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 1 year of working experience in a technical laboratory role.
Operating & Troubleshooting, LC, LCMS, LC-MS/MS instrumentation required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa, now or in the future.
Other:
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system
Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice
Ability to work under specific time constraints
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to perform general office and/or laboratory procedures, which require, talking, hearing, standing, or sitting for long periods of time, typing/entering data into a computer, using appropriate instruments, reaching with hands and arms, and wearing safety equipment (PPE) according to OSHA regulations and company standards.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
