Direct Support Professional

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to support adults with intellectual, developmental, and mental health needs in residential and community settings. In this role, you will assist with daily living skills, medication prompts, personal care, transportation, and community integration while following individualized support plans. You will document services, monitor health and behavior changes, and ensure a safe, respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual, developmental, and mental health needs in daily living activities
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and mobility as needed
• Implement individualized support and behavior plans
• Provide transportation and support community integration and social activities
• Monitor and document health, behaviors, and services provided
• Administer or prompt medications per policy and care plans (where permitted)
• Ensure a safe, clean, and respectful living environment
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families/guardians
• Respond to crises and follow safety and emergency procedures
• Participate in required training and ongoing professional development
