Front desk receptionist part time

About the Role:

John W Kitzmiller MD PC in Lake Orion, MI is looking for a friendly and organized Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our medical practice. • Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays at time of service
• Maintain and update accurate patient records and medical files
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office
• Handle general administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and data entry

• Prior experience in a medical front desk, receptionist, or administrative role preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology, EMR/EHR systems, and insurance verification a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Proficient in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
