ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Resident Care Specialist, you'll support residents with the activities of daily living and help create a safe, warm, and welcoming environment. This position is made for someone who genuinely cares about older adults, takes their responsibilities seriously, and wants their work to mean something every single day. Whether you’re new to caregiving or bring years of experience, we offer opportunities for advancement and overnight shift differentials.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:- Support residents with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support throughout each shift
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning as needed
- Serve meals and provide feeding assistance when required
- Help plan and lead resident-centered activities and light exercise programs that promote physical wellness, mental engagement, and social connection
- Observe and promptly report any changes in a resident's physical or emotional condition
- Keep resident care areas neat, sanitary, and organized
- Document care provided and communicate clearly with Health & Wellness staff
- Follow all safety, HIPAA, and facility protocols
- Attend scheduled in-service training and team meetings
- Work assigned shifts, including nights, rotating weekends, and holidays
- A warm, respectful approach when working with residents, families, volunteers, and colleagues
- The ability to thrive in a team environment while independently managing your assigned responsibilities
- Dependable individuals committed to showing up on time for residents and their team
- Previous experience in senior care, healthcare, or caregiving is preferred - but a genuine desire to serve others is what counts most
- CNA certification is a plus, not a requirement
- Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain one
- Must pass a background check
- Lift up to 50lbs; stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs
- Ability to assist with resident transfers and repositioning
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
- $16-$18/hour starting pay
- $20/hour for Licensed CNAs
- Overnight shift premium
