Key Responsibilities - Assessment & Treatment Planning
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and mental health screenings.
  • Assess patient functioning, symptom severity, risk factors, and treatment needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and evidence-based interventions.
  • Utilize DSM-5 criteria and clinical judgment to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Regularly review and update treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical outcomes.
- Psychotherapy & Clinical Interventions
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Deliver brief interventions within an integrated care model while maintaining the ability to support longer‑term therapeutic needs when appropriate.
  • Utilize therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based practices.
  • Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and safety planning as needed.
  • Support patients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, resilience, and self‑management strategies.
  • Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
- Integrated Care Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Communicate treatment recommendations, progress updates, and clinical concerns through the electronic health record (EHR) and interdisciplinary team discussions.
  • Participate in case consultations and care team meetings to support integrated behavioral health services.
  • Coordinate referrals and transitions of care with community mental health providers and support services as appropriate.
- Documentation & Professional Responsibilities
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and billing requirements.
  • Utilize EHR systems and clinical tools to document treatment, monitor outcomes, and facilitate communication among care team members.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff development activities, and team meetings.
  • Maintain professional licensure and complete continuing education requirements.
  • Provide clinical supervision to students or interns as assigned.
  • Participate in specialized training related to Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures (PNES) and provide therapeutic treatment interventions for this patient population.
Qualifications - Education
Required:
  • Masters degree in social work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related behavioral health field from an accredited program.
- Licensure & Certifications
Required:
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (if applicable)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Psychologist (LP)
  • Limited License Psychologist (LLP) (if supervision requirements are met)
Preferred:
  • Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC)
  • Additional training in evidence‑based therapeutic modalities
- Experience
Required:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing psychotherapy, counseling, or behavioral health services.
Preferred:
  • Experience with in an outpatient, ambulatory, integrated care, or medical setting.
  • Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma‑related disorders, adjustment disorders, and behavioral health conditions commonly seen in primary care.
  • Experience working with patients diagnosed with Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures (PNES) or willingness to complete specialized training.
