Respiratory Therapist
Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department. We're looking for individuals with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE) approved program of respiratory care.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. (RRT needs to be obtained within 6 months of graduating)
- Associate of Science (A.S.) required.
- One year hospital experience in respiratory care preferred.
- Able to perform CPR and Current BLS certification required at date of hire by the American Heart Association.
- Must obtain ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire date by American Heart Association.
Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide logistical support for the operations of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department. The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, educating, monitoring, and treating patients enrolled in pulmonary and/or cardiac rehabilitation programs. This role focuses on improving patients' respiratory and cardiovascular health through individualized exercise programs, patient education, disease management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The therapist promotes safe exercise participation, monitors patient response to therapy, and supports long-term lifestyle modification.
