Looking for a career where no two days are exactly the same? TBCHS is looking for a friendly, flexible, and patient-focused team member to join us in a unique dual role as an Access Specialist & Medical Support Staff member!
This position offers the best of both worlds, combining patient access and front‑office responsibilities with hands‑on clinical support. Your day may include welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with billing, while also supporting providers, taking vital signs, assisting with patient care, and keeping our clinics running smoothly.
What You’ll DoAs part of this dynamic role, you’ll spend time supporting both the front office and clinical teams based on the health center’s daily needs!
Patient Access Responsibilities:- Greet and assist patients and visitors with exceptional customer service.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, verify insurance, and assist with patient forms.
- Process payments and help connect patients with the many services and resources available at TBCHS.
- Help keep the front office organized, welcoming, and running efficiently.
- Room patients, take vital signs, complete screenings, and assist with patient histories.
- Support providers during exams and procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines, collect lab specimens, and assist with in‑house testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and help ensure a safe, clean clinical environment.
- Provide patient education and support to help patients take an active role in their health.
We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn! The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment, and is comfortable jumping in wherever help is needed.
Qualifications include:- Completion of a Medical Assistant or LPN program
- We will train in our grow your own Medical Assistant Program.
- Eligible for certification, registration, or licensure as applicable.
- BLS certification required at hire.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to travel between TBCHS sites as needed.
