KeyQualifications:
- Masters degree required bachelors degrees are not eligible for this position.
- Valid Michigan licensure:
Acceptable credentials include (but are not limited to) LMSW, LLMSW (under supervision), licensed or limited licensed masters level psychologist (with appropriate supervision if limited), SCL, NT-endorsement, PSCC, or TSCL (with pathway to LLPC/LPC within 24 months). - Familiarity with SOAP notes and electronic documentation is essential.
- Proficient with Google Workspace applications.
- Strong background in social-emotional support, school counseling, or school-based mental health.
- Quick to connect with diverse student populations and faculty.
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
- Deliver direct counseling to general education students individually and in groups.
- Provide crisis intervention, social-emotional learning, and implement positive behavior programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records using electronic systems.
- Support classroom educators and staff with training on mental health and behavior strategies as needed.
- Adapt interventions to meet a broad spectrum of student needs.
