Overview
Pool Attendants must maintain a clean and sanitary pool area and ensure that all safety equipment is present at and around the pool area at all times.
Job Duties- Test and balance pool chemicals. Document as required by state and local regulations (Essential)
- Monitor and adjust pool temperature as directed (Essential)
- Clean and vacuum pool, clean skimmer baskets, backwash pool filters, and skim the pool with skimmer as needed (Essential)
- Monitor residents entering and exiting the pool area. Ensure the state capacity is not exceeded (Essential)
- Ensure all posted pool rules are being adhered to (Essential)
- Ensure safety equipment is present and in working order. Check first aid kit for needed supplies daily
- Clean and maintain pool bathroom daily, keeping them stocked with supplies and free of standing water
- Sweep the pool deck and all surrounding areas daily
- Straighten pool furniture regularly, ensuring furniture is clean and in working order at all times
- Report any non‑working or damaged furniture to the Community Manager or immediate supervisor
- Garden and remove weeds in commons areas as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Clean the clubhouse and surrounding common areas as needed
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Some high school education (Required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to endure seasonal temperatures
- Flexibility to respond to community needs during non‑business hours
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Good verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use e‑mail and internet
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Required certifications/licenses:
Certified Pool Operator (COP), where required by state law
