About the PositionThe Tubing Park Supervisor leads the daily operations of the tubing park at Schuss Mountain, ensuring a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for every guest. This position is responsible for supervising and scheduling employees, coordinating daily activities, monitoring tubing conditions, and ensuring that equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
The Supervisor establishes expectations for safety, service, productivity, and teamwork. This position also trains employees, responds to operational and guest concerns, and collaborates with Ski Operations, Ski Patrol, and Maintenance to deliver a fun and memorable experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and oversee daily tubing park operations.
- Supervise, schedule, train, and support tubing park employees.
- Assign daily responsibilities and adjust staffing based on guest volume and operational needs.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate safety, weather, staffing, and operational information.
- Train employees on lift and tubing operations, guest assistance, safety requirements, and emergency procedures.
- Provide employees with ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance guidance.
- Monitor tubing lanes, loading and unloading areas, guest flow, and surface conditions.
- Ensure employees consistently follow and enforce all established safety requirements.
- Inspect tubes, conveyors, lifts, fencing, signage, and other equipment before and during operations.
- Remove damaged or unsafe equipment from service and immediately report maintenance needs.
- Coordinate equipment repairs and facility concerns with Maintenance and Ski Operations.
- Maintain accurate equipment, inspection, incident, and operational records.
- Assist guests, answer questions, gather feedback, and resolve concerns professionally.
- Manage guest lines and park capacity to maintain a safe and efficient experience.
- Respond appropriately to accidents, injuries, weather events, equipment issues, and other emergencies.
- Collaborate with Ski Patrol and other departments when emergency assistance is required.
- Ensure the tubing park remains clean, organized, properly supplied, and ready for operation.
- Support opening, closing, cash-handling, and reporting procedures as assigned.
- Perform frontline tubing park duties during busy periods when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in hospitality, recreation, outdoor operations, or a related environment.
- Strong knowledge of workplace and recreational safety practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to train employees and provide clear direction and feedback.
- Ability to organize daily operations and adjust staffing based on changing business needs.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience at a tubing park, ski resort, amusement facility, or similar recreational operation.
- Experience developing or implementing safety and emergency-response procedures.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Strong leadership and team-development skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and guest-service abilities.
- Ability to identify and respond to potential safety concerns.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make timely operational decisions.
