Black River Barn is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Assistant Manager and will assist in the day-to-day operations within BRB. The ideal candidate is a positive leader who has a passion for the events industry, provides excellent customer service and is committed to the core values of BRB.

This position is a full time, salaried position with a minimum requirement of 45 working hours per week including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will vary on a weekly basis between regular office hours to late evenings. As the Assistant Manager, you should be well-organized and possess a basic knowledge of event management. Excellent communication and attention to detail skills are vital in this role, as our success depends on meeting our client’s tailored requests.
This position reports to the Director Of Operations.
- Assists with the planning, preparation, and organization of events
- Facilitates tours, both in person and virtual
- Addresses questions/communication from/with potential clients
- On-site Manager at all events, which includes closing at the end of the night
- Manage event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes
- Answering questions and addressing concerns of BRB clients, their guests, and the vendors during each event
- Creates and implements marketing plan which includes content gathering, creation of marketing broadcasts, and feedback to Management
- Anything assigned by Management

- Working knowledge of social media programs (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Pinterest)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 – 2 years of experience in Event Management OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, or related major
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
