Summary

The Human Resources Payroll Associate administers all the activities that relate to biweekly in-house payroll processing and payroll reporting, ensuring the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting, tax filing and remittance, benefits payments and various special payments. This role will interact with all levels of employees, answering questions, assisting with proper time recording, walking employees through self-service processes, and assisting with changes.

This individual will be developed to be the subject matter expert with all payroll administration.

The ideal candidate is highly comfortable working with numbers, managing data with precision, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll for employees. Experience with payroll systems, reconciliations, and troubleshooting payroll discrepancies is required.

Essential Functions
  • Manages bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salaried, and executive employees; including reviewing and importing hours from time and attendance system, entering tax and direct deposit information, administering regulatory requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and support orders, and other adjustments to pay as necessary.
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the human resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes.
  • Responds to Verification of Employment requests for payroll data and Workers Compensation Wage Statements.
  • Responds to employee payroll questions via email, phone, chat and provides in person guidance to employees.
  • Assists HR Payroll Manager and HR leadership with various administrative projects and tasks.

Required Work Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in administering in-house payroll, automated time and attendance, HRIS and benefits processes required.
  • Strong knowledge of variety of computer software applications including payroll, benefits, time and attendance and HRIS, self-service systems.
  • Previous experience with SAP Success Factors HRIS and SAP payroll beneficial.
