Compensation: $57,000 / year

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Payroll & HRIS Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while maintaining the integrity of our HRIS data and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in multi-state payroll processing, deep working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (required), advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and a proactive mindset for maintaining accuracy and improving processes.

This role requires a high level of discretion, accountability, and collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration
  • Process full‑cycle payroll accurately and timely using ADP Workforce Now
  • Manage and process multi‑state payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations
  • Audit payroll data including earnings, deductions, taxes, benefit contributions, and time records
  • Reconcile payroll reports prior to final submission and confirm accuracy of payroll registers
  • Manage garnishments, tax updates, direct deposits, and payroll adjustments
  • Support year‑end payroll activities including W‑2 review and reconciliation
  • Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with compliance requirements
  • Respond to payroll‑related questions from Team Members with professionalism and timeliness
HRIS & Reporting
  • Maintain and audit Team Member data in ADP Workforce Now to ensure accuracy and data integrity
  • Serve as a subject‑matter resource for HRIS processes, reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports using Microsoft Excel and ADP reporting tools
  • Ensure alignment across payroll, benefits, and Team Member data
  • Support system updates, testing, and process improvement initiatives
Time & Attendance
  • Support and audit timekeeping processes using ADP E‑Time (preferred)
  • Review time records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in partnership with leaders
  • Ensure proper coding and alignment with payroll policies and practices
Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Ensure payroll and HRIS practices align with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor changes in payroll regulations impacting multi‑state operations
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive Team Member and organizational data

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Required Experience
  • 3+ years of full‑cycle payroll processing experience
  • Demonstrated experience processing multi‑state payroll (required)
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with ADP Workforce Now (highly required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reporting, formulas, data validation, analysis)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook and professional written communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with ADP E‑Time or similar time and attendance system
  • HRIS administration or data management experience
  • Experience supporting audits or compliance reporting
  • Knowledge of benefit deductions, garnishments, and payroll reconciliations
