Mgr - Human Resources

Skywood Recovery is seeking a full-time Manager, Human Resources in Augusta, MI (onsite). In this role, you’ll help strengthen HR practices across designated business units by aligning employee support and facility needs with overall business objectives. You’ll operate as a trusted consultant on HR and employee relations, while partnering with leadership to support staffing, compliance, and effective change management.

• Collaborate with management to develop, communicate, and administer human resources policies, guidelines, and procedures in accordance with applicable law and government regulations.
• Serve as the go-to resource for employee relations matters, including complaints involving harassment, discrimination, misconduct, bullying, and related concerns. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations, then make fact-based recommendations based on findings.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations situations in partnership with appropriate members of the organizational hierarchy when needed.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements for day-to-day employee management to reduce legal risk and support regulatory compliance.
• Keep employee records current and process employee status changes in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with department record-keeping standards and complete required reporting.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for designated facilities, supporting adequate staffing to help ensure patient safety and meet organizational objectives.
• Maintain and/or collaborate with facility management on position control planning aligned with the facility FTE budget.
• Monitor compensation equity within assigned facilities, support compensation planning, and ensure wage and hour compliance.
• Maintain Human Resources files to ensure regulatory compliance, including files for independent contractors and/or vendors.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience

• Healthcare experience and/or experience with co-occurring disorders (a plus).
• PHR or SPHR (preferred).
• Proficiency in Word
