Walker Healthforce is seeking a dedicated Employee Engagement Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for our contract employees working at various client sites. This role is critical to fostering a positive and supportive experience for the contingent workforce by building strong, ongoing relationships and ensuring consultants feel connected, engaged, and valued throughout their assignments. The Employee Engagement Specialist proactively addresses consultant needs, supports retention efforts, and helps resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
This position plays a key role in enhancing contract employee satisfaction, driving engagement, and contributing to overall workforce stability and performance.
- Serve as the main liaison between Walker Healthforce and contract employees placed remotely and at client locations, ensuring they receive outstanding support throughout their assignments
- Conduct regular virtual or in-person visits to meet with contract employees, address concerns, and maintain strong working relationships
- Drive overall workforce retention by implementing strategic retention initiatives, enhancing contractor engagement, and proactively identifying, escalating, and resolving performance or satisfaction concerns.
- Support employee assignment extensions in alignment with client needs and organizational goals, ensuring seamless continuity of service and accurate documentation
- Perform quality checks to ensure employee satisfaction and compliance with client requirements
- Plan and execute employee appreciation events to boost morale, increase retention, and demonstrate our commitment to our workforce
- Prepare and send new employee welcome packages to contract employees monthly
- Actively pursue employee referrals for open positions
- Proactively surface opportunities for expanded services or additional resources needed at client sites
- Navigate and manage clients' contingent labor management systems with accuracy and efficiency
- Oversee timekeeping processes for contract employees, ensuring accurate and timely submission
- Utilize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to maintain current employee records and track placement activities
- Document contract employee communications and activities in Bullhorn, ensuring timely dissemination of pertinent information to internal teams
- Stay informed about client-specific practices, policies, and procedures to ensure seamless coordination
Skills and Abilities
- Previous experience in employee relations, human resources, staffing, or customer service
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems (ATS, timekeeping platforms, client portals)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Experience in the staffing or contingent workforce industry
- Event planning or coordination experience
