Job Description

Bank Michigan is seeking career-minded candidates for a Full Time IT & Facilities Support Specialist with previous IT support experience and education required. In addition to a professional, customer-focused demeanor, candidates should have previous IT support with PC/peripheral maintenance/repair experience and a minimum of an Associate's Degree in IT/related field of study. ITIL or ITF+ Certification preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

Serve as the Bank's first line of technology support for assisting employees with computer and related equipment service issues and support activities. The IT & Facilities Support Specialist also assists with facility security, including aiding in building & grounds maintenance and project coordination. Supports the IT Manager with various tasks, along with providing support as needed with project related requests.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary:

  • Serve as first point of contact for technical assistance over phone, email, web meeting and in person while providing exemplary customer service.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues. Perform remote troubleshooting assistance using diagnostic techniques.
  • Assist IT Manager with password resets of applications. Such as, Bankway, Image Centre, a2i, Shoretel, Laserpro.
  • Responsible for Managed IT tickets including but not limited to: submission of new tickets, monitoring tickets, follow up as needed, upscale when appropriate, and overall prioritizing. Work in conjunction with our hosted network provider.
  • Submit tickets for reoccurring tasks related to Managed IT tickets such as new employee setup.
  • Assist in Vendor Management tracking of high & critical vendors. Monitor and update as needed by coordinating with Ncontracts provider.
  • Review system network reports (MSS/Connect Ted) for changes related to controls and report discrepancies or issues to IT Manager.
  • Assist with maintaining all forms of technology.
  • Provide quick resolution and excellent customer service.
  • Assist in the acquiring and setup of equipment and computer supplies.
  • Coordinate third party vendor projects (IT and/or Facilities) to ensure timelines are followed and all parties are communicated with.
  • Provide back-up building and grounds maintenance support as needed.
  • Assist in Ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Assist with security training of all employees
  • Acts as an advocate for the Bank in all interactions both internally and externally.
  • Regular onsite attendance required.
  • Works harmoniously and collaboratively with team members to accomplish bank objectives.
  • Other:

  • Follow all bank policies and procedures.
  • Periodic travel to various branch locations for onsite work (IT and Facilities).
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Job Requirements:

    Education: Minimum of Associates Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field preferred.

    Certifications: ITIL or ITF+ preferred.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Training and

    Experience:

    Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in PC and peripheral maintenance/repair. Prior financial institution experience a plus. Ability to work flexible schedules on an abrupt basis. Excellent problem-solving skills. Successfully complete the in-house training program. Superior interpersonal communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.

    Essential

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, twist, and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work on the Saturday rotation for computer trouble shooting.
  • Ability to converse verbally and in writing with others.
  • Ability to utilize general office equipment, Internet and various business software programs (i.e. MS office).
  • Ability to travel within the community to attend various events and meetings.
