Position Overview

The Digital Content Coordinator is a hands‑on, tactical role focused entirely on executing a critical website consolidation and content migration project within Word Press. This time‑limited temporary position will assist in auditing, migrating, formatting, and restructuring digital content from multiple platforms into a unified web ecosystem. The ideal candidate has practical technical comfort with Word Press block editors, an exceptional eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining clean, user‑friendly, and accessible web experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Website Migration & Word Press Execution – actively migrate pages, posts, and media assets from legacy sites into the primary target Word Press environment; build out and format pages using modern Word Press templates, blocks, or designated patterns according to brand guidelines.
  • Content Auditing & Restructuring – review existing web content for accuracy, relevance, and redundancy; implement a streamlined site architecture by setting up redirects, archiving outdated material, and consolidating overlapping documentation.
  • Quality Assurance & UX Alignment – proofread and format content during migration to ensure exceptional readability, clean typography, and seamless user experience (UX); verify that all internal and external hyperlinks remain functional.
  • Digital Accessibility & Compliance – ensure migrated web pages and uploaded assets meet university web standards, formatting rules, and modern digital accessibility practices (e.g., proper heading hierarchies, descriptive alt text for images).
  • Basic Search Engine Optimization – apply basic on‑page SEO optimizations during migration, including configuring appropriate meta titles, page descriptions, and maintaining clean URL structures.
Other Responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Demonstrated, practical experience managing content or building pages within Word Press.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editorial skills with high attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of web accessibility principles (WCAG 2.1) and user‑centric design.
  • Ability to work independently on repetitive technical tasks while maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills to closely coordinate progress and handoffs.
Eligibility & Benefits

Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits such as leave, health coverage, and State service credit. However, they are covered by Worker’s Compensation provisions. Non‑permanent employees working 30 or more hours per week for three months or more are eligible for enrollment in the High Deductible Health Plan within 30 days of eligibility.
