Job Title
This position is responsible for assisting Michigan's law enforcement agencies with data quality concerns.
Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for assisting Michigan's law enforcement agencies with data quality concerns. They must correspond with these agencies to address various differing trends in MICR data, and provide detailed guidance to agencies on process involving the submission of data through the Michigan Incident Crime Reporting (MICR) application via the Michigan Criminal Justice Information Network (MiCJIN) Portal or troubleshooting errors.
This position also is the main point of contact for the MICR Testing and Certification process to test agency data before submitting to the MICR production database.
Education and Experience
Education typically acquired through completion of high school
Experience:
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.
OR
One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
OR
Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
AlternateEducation and Experience
Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Additional Requirements and InformationThis position requires passing a pre-employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police.
