Overview
The Cranbrook Center for Collections and Research is seeking applicants for the newly created position of Associate Archivist for Digital Collections. The role will coordinate efforts to preserve and make accessible digital materials collected or created by the Archives, working closely with the Head Archivist to build and sustain a comprehensive long‑term strategy for the Archives digital records.
Responsibilities- Coordinate efforts to preserve and make accessible digital materials collected or created by the Archives.
- Work closely with the Head Archivist to build and sustain a comprehensive long‑term strategy for the Archives digital records.
- Bring technical expertise in digital curation and associated infrastructures in support of the Archives collecting and access initiatives.
- Assist with planning and policy development.
- Manage platforms and tools.
- Create and manage digital files, including preservation and technical metadata.
- Collaborate on outreach and educational projects.
- Creative, flexible, and enthusiastic about serving the Cranbrook community through collecting, maintaining, and sharing its digital heritage.
- Technical expertise in digital curation and associated infrastructures.
