Job SummaryThe Education Services Department is looking for translators to translate written and oral communications for parents and teachers. Translators will attend meetings and parent conferences to support translation for parents and also provide written translation of documents and report‑card comments. Applicants must have an extensive vocabulary in both English and their second language and must follow confidentiality guidelines of the District.
All applicants will be interviewed and assessed before acceptance onto the list of approved translators.
Applicants must have an extensive vocabulary in both English and their second language, demonstrate proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin, or Portuguese, and be able to maintain strict confidentiality. They must be available for on‑call assignments, attend meetings, and perform simultaneous translation as needed.
