Assistant Store Associate – Responsible for prepared food operations, customer service, and operational excellence within the Sam Club prepared food department.

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support fellow associates with training and resources.
• Produce food products in accordance with item specifications, seasonality, and mass‑production planning.
• Adhere to food‑safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance, and inventory‑management practices.
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment and demonstrate product and layout execution.
• Utilize digital tools to drive sales, improve customer experience, and support associate engagement.
• Support associate training and the adoption of new tools and processes.
• Drive area performance, manage stock and rotation, and ensure quality and date‑control standards.
• Provide member service: recognize members, assist in purchasing decisions, handle payment types, and resolve member concerns.
• Advocate for the brand, promote a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented work style, and assist in training associates.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics standards, and the Open Door Policy.
• Prioritize work assignments, use data and resources, collaborate with managers and partners, and recommend improvement opportunities.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Ability to complete required training and assessments in a timely manner.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new digital tools.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

• Food safety certification (e.g., Food Service Food Handler).
• Experience in prepared‑food operations or retail environment.

Hourly wage range: $17.00 – $25.00, including potential premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Overtime shall be paid in accordance with applicable laws.
