Contents Lead Technician plays a vital role in restoring clients’ belongings impacted by fire, water, smoke, or mold damage. Reporting to the Project Manager or Foreman, this role oversees on‑site production efforts, directs technicians during pack‑out and pack‑back processes, and ensures all contents are handled, cleaned, and stored properly. The Lead Technician is responsible for maintaining job‑site documentation, promoting safety and efficiency, assisting with team training, and supporting warehouse organization.
This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service throughout the restoration process.
- Takes direction from Project Manager/Foreman for job site production
- Keeps foreman updated on production and asks questions
- Contacts foreman when team takes lunch
- Assists foreman and acts as a right hand
- Detailed notes in DASH and completes compliance tasks for production
- Assists the foreman with the hours and materials sheet
- Communicates with the homeowner regarding production
- Divides the workload fairly and efficiently among technicians
- Teach/Assist Technicians in evaluating and documenting contents as replace/clean/storage
- Teach/Assist Technicians in loading and unloading contents into the truck then storage
- Teach/Assist Technicians in cleaning and stocking vans
- Keeps a continuous steady workflow and encourages teamwork
- Understands, properly utilizes, verifies proper use of PPE
- Executes job action plan for production set by foreman
- Job site protections (Floor protection, covering):
Set up and properly remove floor protection or containment - Job site cleanup before departing from Pack Out/Pack Back
- Take production photos
- Document production progress and Pack Out/Pack Back completion photos
- Remove trash from job site/vehicles
- Clean, stock, organize warehouse and vehicles
- Manage warehouse production and confirm vault/shelf storage on board and in DASH
- Operate or oversee operation of hi‑lo
- Training available at no cost
- Must have Valid Drivers' License
- Must pass background check
- Must have reliable transportation to Main office
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and twisting
- Clean shave face for use of respirator per OSHA regulations
- Working in a team environment
- Working in tight or confined spaces
- On call per rotation schedule (Paid OT, 2x pay for on call/ after‑hours work)
- Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to work outdoors, in extreme temperatures, wet/humid environments, and/or with vibration
- Working with mechanical and chemical hazards and conditions including fumes, odors, dusts, gases, and/or poor ventilation
- Ability to climb, talk, crouch, stand, balance, reach, grasp, pull, lift, see, hear, and operate tools and vehicles
