CDL Sewer Cleaning Operator

Summary

The sewer cleaning technician operates a combination jet/vacuum truck to perform storm and sanitary sewer cleaning operations, including pipe jetting, catch basin cleaning, lift station cleaning, and other vacuum services. The technician is required to be in the after‑hours on‑call rotation for emergency situations beyond normal business hours. The position is full‑time and located in Byron Center, MI, with room for advancement.

• Operate Jet/Vacuum truck and related equipment to clean storm and sanitary sewers.
• Assist field staff and operators in a variety of duties.
• Assist with maintenance and operation of various pieces of equipment in the field and at the shop.
• Provide assistance and willingness to learn in other areas as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working in a variety of weather conditions. Overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays. Located in Byron Center, MI; no remote work available.

• Valid commercial driver’s license with Class B (required).
• Tanker endorsement (required).
• Clean driving record (required).
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screen (required; THC not allowed).
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate (required).
• Able to lift 30 pounds.
• Provide excellent customer service when dealing with clients and co‑workers.
• Occasional overnight or week‑flexibility if needed.
