School Custodian

Starting Date: Immediately

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to perform the physical duties as required by the job, including but not limited to the ability to lift 80 pounds.
• Must be able to climb a ladder and use a lift.
• Must be able to get along with students, staff, and the public.
• Must be able to operate power machinery such as scrubbers, mowers, buffers, vacuums, etc.
• Must pass a physical examination and drug test by an approved physician before starting work.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties of the custodian will include but not be limited to:

• General cleaning and dusting. This will include:
• Floors
• Restrooms
• Classrooms
• Offices
• Vomit and blood cleanup in all buildings
• Other areas
• Painting interior and exterior walls.
• Minor repairs of equipment, including but not limited to locker repair, furniture repair, and water shut-off.
• Refinishing floors.
• Set up and tear down for events.
• Mowing
• Trimming
• Lining fields
• Planting shrubs
• Cleaning play areas
• Cleaning parking lots
• Snow removal.
• Other duties assigned by the supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

This is a full-time, year-round position with excellent benefits including:
