The Campbell Plant has recently reopened under new administration and is operating on continuous 90-day extensions, which are expected to remain in place throughout the current administration (projected through 2029). The plant runs 24/7; however, the maintenance team works standard daytime B-shift hours.
Department Overview- Union environment consisting of ~60 maintenance employees
- Trades include electricians, welders, machinists, and general maintenance technicians
- Current leadership: 1 Electrical Supervisor + 1 Mechanical Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the plant leadership team responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable execution of maintenance activities. This role oversees daily work assignments, manages a union workforce, coordinates job planning, and ensures timely availability of tools, materials, and parts.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations across assigned disciplines
- Assign, schedule, and coordinate work for union trades (electricians, machinists, welders, general maintenance staff)
- Review work orders, plan jobs, and ensure proper materials, tools, and parts are sourced
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to union team members
- Ensure compliance with plant safety policies and maintenance procedures
- Collaborate closely with operations teams working around the clock
- Support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and close out maintenance documentation
- Maintain strong communication with plant leadership, engineering, and operations groups
- Participate in any overtime needs (not common but may occur)
- 3–5+ years of supervisory or maintenance leadership experience
- Experience working with or managing union labor (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Mechanical or Electrical discipline ideal)
- Industrial, power plant, utility, or heavy manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- (Steel mills, wastewater facilities, or similar environments also acceptable)
