The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hart that are seeking skilled EHS Managers. Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems and programs.
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Conduct regular EHS risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and ensure effective controls.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to all employees to foster a strong safety culture.
- Manage hazardous waste, chemical inventory, and environmental permits in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics, prepare regulatory reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- 5-7+ years of progressive EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and state-specific EHS regulations and their practical application.
- Professional EHS certification (e.g., CSP, CHMM, CIH) or commitment to obtain.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs and management systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in EHS training and incident investigation.
- Experience implementing Lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies in EHS.
- Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Gensuite, SAP EHS).
- Demonstrated experience managing EHS across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Background working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Advanced certification such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
