Building and Grounds Supervisor

About the role - This position is onsite in Bridgman, MI and offered as a full-time, long-term contract role. The schedule is non-traditional, with frequent three-day weekends during the spring, summer, and fall. The winter schedule also varies and includes night shifts.

• Help with the hiring and discipline processes of employees.
• Manage and train a staff of employees in the daily performance of their jobs of general upkeep and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Facilitate morning meetings and pre-job briefs
• Ensure that all work performed, follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and that work orders are tracked and completed.
• May oversee contractors engaged for facility renovation projects.
• Develop maintenance policy and procedures that ensure the functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
• Manage all building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, waste management, grounds management and snow removal.
• Orders and maintains inventory of supplies required for continuing operations.
• Develop accurate estimates and coordinate materials and labor for project work and renovations, ensuring that all tasks are completed to quality standards and within the approved scope and budget.
• Ensure that project, department milestones, and goals are met safely.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Previous experience as a supervisor or 4 years of Building and Grounds experience
• Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD products), and employment testing.

WECTEC Staffing Services offers competitive pay to all of our employees. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $26/hour to $30/hour.
