Basic Job Functions
We are seeking an individual that is organized, has excellent communication skills, and can multitask. Must have 5 – 8 years of construction management experience and be skilled in understanding project drawings and specifications. Degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations. He/she will oversee Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and Assistant Superintendents.
This individual will also work directly with the A.R. Brouwer President, Estimators, Accounting Manager, Marketing Director, and Superintendents.
Job Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be goal-oriented
- Must be team-oriented
- Extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects
- Knowledge and experience reading and analyzing architectural, structural, and civil drawings, specifications, and all project/construction documents
- An understanding of construction management procedures and documents, including subcontracts, change order process, budgeting, purchasing, and forecasting
- Able to create construction master schedules using MS Project
- Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, MS Project), PDF editing, and web-based project management software, such as Procore
