Production Quality Manager
The Production Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality standards and compliance within the automotive parts manufacturing processes. They will lead a team of quality technicians, providing guidance and support to drive continuous improvement and eliminate defects. This role will actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues, develop corrective action plans, and monitor their implementation.
They will also play a key role in promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of quality engineers and technicians, providing coaching and support to ensure their success.
- Develop and implement quality standards, procedures, and guidelines to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Responsible for production total quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Investigate root causes of quality defects and develop comprehensive corrective action plans, ensuring their timely and effective implementation.
- Responsible for production quality metrics and KPIs within Mafact standards to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex quality issues and improve process capabilities.
- Lead and participate in problem-solving activities, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma, Shainin, PDCA, and 8D.
- Train employees on quality standards, processes, and tools to enhance their understanding and adherence to quality requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness throughout the organization.
- Monitor attendance, performance reviews, vacation requests, etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in quality engineering in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in leading teams.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficient in problem-solving techniques, such as Six Sigma, PDCA, Shainin, 8D, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in leading a team including; performance reviews/management, disciplinary action, attendance, career development.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Proven experience working with cross functional teams to complete daily tasks and projects.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other employees.
- Knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
