Description:
The Executive Director shall be responsible and accountable for the overall internal and external operation of the facility. The Executive Director shall direct all activities to ensure compliance with established standards. The Executive Director is directly responsible to the President or their designee and the Board of Trustees. Essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the effective operation of all activities of the facility.
- Interpreting and administering the policies of the Board of Trustees.
- Utilizing and developing human, financial, and technical resources.
- Maintaining high-quality professional patient and medical care services.
- Participating in community health programs.
- Ensuring the financial integrity of the facility.
- Develop annually for Board review and approval: A strategic and tactical plan delineating quality, productivity, fiscal, and customer satisfaction objectives. Operating and capital budgets. A Business Development Plan to support the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Develop and continuously improve the structure and processes for the recruitment and retention of medical, clinical, support, and administrative staff.
- Provide leadership and overall management of the organization's operations and finances.
- Regularly report to the Board the results, including progress toward annual objectives.
- Maintain positive working relationships, including referral relationships with other healthcare providers in the region.
- Actively participate in legislative and regulatory processes to promote a positive environment for the provision of long-term care services.
- Participate in appropriate professional groups to strengthen professional skills and knowledge base.
- Perform any and all duties that may be required or assigned by the Board of Trustees.
